Classic Sparkler

Pale to medium yellow with fine bubbles!

Aromas of mandarin, lemon-lime, peach, green apple, toasted nuts & dry fig.

Flavors of lemon-lime, white peach, white pear & slightly nutty finish of toasted almonds & hazelnuts. Dry on palate with noteable minerality & moderate acidity when labeled "Brut". The dosage (added sugar) levels are the same as Champagne.

A blend (cuvée) typically based on Chardonnay (85%), Pinot Nero (10%) (aka Pinot Noir) & Pinot Bianco (5%), first two as the same as Champagne & crafted the same way (metodo classico) and even nicknamed "Italian Champagne". From a warmer region then Champagne, so flavors are riper & fuller & doesn’t have quite the racy acidity or minerality of Champagne. Confusingly there are five styles, with different aging and dosage requirements: Franciacorta (18 months), Saten (24 months), Rose (24 months), Franciacorta Millesimato (30 months), and Franciacorta Riserva. (60 months). Satèns styles are only made from white grapes like Blanc de Blanc from Champagne and have a lower pressure 4.5 atm in the bottle vs. 6 as in Champagne.

Serve cold to enhace its acidity. Excellent aperitif crafted with very high standards, from a DOCG classified region.
