Dark, Peppery & Earthy

Inky deep red. A blend of Cariñena (aka Carignan) (aka Samsó in Catalonia), Garnacha Tinta (aka Red Grenache) & other international red varieties; Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, & Merlot.

Aromas of ripe, red & black black plum, black cherry, wild savory herbs, black & white pepper & rocky stoney earth.

Strong flavors of ripe red & black fruits with leathery spiced somewhat licorice finish. Baking spice from oak aging.

Powerful, dark, elegant wines with more moderate alcohol levels and softer tannins levels than more fameous and somewhat similar tasting Priorate wines.

Montsant means "Holy Mountain."
