Fruity, Earthy & Chewy

Inky Black. Aromas of red, black & dried fruits, black pepper & smoke.

Flavors at full-throttle with ripe, jammy fruit & pepper spice.

Oak aging adds vanilla, toast, baking spices & dark chocolate. Higher alcohol level & chewy tannins.

Aglianico is high in acidity, and color & tannins. Taurasi DOCG Agliancio wines are often called "the Barolo of the South" for their elegance and potential for aging similar to the best Nebbiolo wines from Piedmonte.

Negroamaro means "black and bitter". Deep in color, medium in tannins & native to Apulia & particularly in Salento, southern Italy.

Both from warm climates.
