Very dark violet. Aromas of tart black & red cherry, strawberry, raspberry, bitter green herbs & mushroomed earth. Vibrant & juicy on the palate with tart acidity.
Aging in used oak adds little, if any wood influence. But occasionally small oak barrels used adding vanilla, sweet spice & toast flavors.
Good acidity, a great partner for Italian tomato-sauced foods.
